Totalenegergies and Solarization
Total Energies launched a program to equip 5,000 of its service stations worldwide with solar panels within five years, including 800 in France. The total solar capacity to be installed is about 200 MW ( equivalent to the amount of electricity used to power a city of 200,000 people for an investment of around $300 million).
“The project is fully aligned with Total Energies ambition of becoming the responsible energy major and its commitment to developing solar power. It will reduce carbon emissions by 100,000 tons per year and cut electricity bill by $40 million per year,”. In line with Total Energies global strategy, TE NTW Solarization Project started in 2018 based on a LTP of 80 sites over 4 years representing 1/3 of the network size. Now 86 stations are installed with solar power. This campaign’s aim is to educate people about solarization and highlight our contribution to sustainability, the environment and a greener future.
